I was a member of this family for 9 years. They are a wonderful family with good values and beliefs.
I remember Tom coming to visit in our home and he would say that he and Pat were not going to stay long because people who overstay their welcome can be like dead fish. They begin to stink after a while.
I remember visiting Tom while at work at the Flag Pole. He was very proud of it and sent so much ice cream home with us that we could not possibly eat it all ourselves. And there was always a new flavor to try.
What I remember about the Thompson family is their love of taking pictures. I have kept alot of them. They are warm memories to have.
Tom loved his kids and would tell me all about what Tara, Kellie, and Todd were doing. He as a very proud Grandfather too.
What I blessing that he lived to hear about his second Great Grand Child's birth. I believe that Hunter Thomas will have alof of the good qualities that Tom had.
Mike said it so well in his email. His dad never knew a stranger. I had forgotten how Tom made me feel welcome from the first day that I met him.
Uncle Tom will be greatly missed.
He was a wonderful uncle that always had time to sit and talk.
He was always encouraged. I loved the times that I got to spend with him.
I have prayed for him often for 30 years and I will continue to pray for Aunt Pat and my cousins and their families.
I remember the time when I was 10 that Uncle Tom & Aunt Pat invited Sharon and I to come to their house and stay for a week. Uncle Tom tried to teach me how to work in the ice cream shop. It was neat. Then he spoiled us with activities and shopping!!!

came all the way to the college Susan and I were going to by Chicago, to take their nieces out to dinner. We appreciated
that time they spent with us. I will miss my Uncle Tom..
Jess,Tom and myself would see each other each week there.
I will never forget,one HOT day, Tom came over to our store, caring three BIG ice cream cones.
That was fun, trying to wait on customers and eat dripping ice cream at the same time. At dinner
Tom and Jess was always trying to get the other one to pay for the dinner.
It didn't work most of the time, for either one of them. Tom was a good brother-in law to me and
I will truly miss him until I get to Heaven.
Tom may be going from this earth but, he will not be for gotten by his family and friends.
Tom was always a brother I looked up too. He was friendly and ready to help most anyone.
As a young poor boy, I never received much for Christmas. Tom was only about 15 or 16
years old and working for Bemans Super Market at that time. He came home from work on
Christmas eve with two brand new slids, one for me and one for David. Tom must have
given a full weeks pay for those two slids. It was my best Christmas ever as a kid.
Later in life I work a paper rout for the State Journal and all of the local paper carriers were
having a fun day at Lake Lansing amusements park with lunch included. I had no way of
getting there so Tom took some time off from seeing Pat to take me out to the park for the
day and back home again..
At the age of 15, I had saved up my own hard working money to buy my first car.
The salesman at the car lot would not sell a car to me because of my age. Tom heard of this
and took me right down to the car lot and bought the car off of the lot in his name. We took
the car home and Tom sign the title over to me.
I could go on and on about the goodness of TOM but, he would get the " Big Head "
even in Heaven.
I will see him again some day in Heaven and, you can too, IF you are saved, if you are not
Tom and his Christian Family and Friends would like to see you get saved today.
It's easy ! Read Romans 3:10 , 3:23, 6:23 , 10:9 and 10:13 in the Bible.

Tom had great pride in his family and would tell of their progress and successes througout the many years when he joined into our family by marrying my wonderful niece, Pat. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you now in the loss of a great guy who will be missed.

I was a member of this family
I was a member of this family for 9 years. They are a wonderful family with good values and beliefs.
